Profile
Born in Rotterdam, Netherlands. Hato is of Curaçaoan descent. He joined his hometown Club Sparta Rotterdam at the age of 6 before relocating to Amsterdam in 2018 to sign for European giants AFC Ajax, aged 17. He was an instant hit within the club and was named captain for the UEFA Youth League tournament, leading my example and gaining respect from his peers, Hato was one of the best players at the tournament and attacking all lot of suitors around Europe despite not being at Ajax long. But he decided to commit his future with Ajax who fought off a lot of clubs and signed a contract till 2025 in March 2022. Earning his stripes and impressing throughout, he was promoted to Jong Ajax, making his debut in November 2022. It only needed 10 fantastic performances before he was given his Ajax first-team debut it on 11th January 2023, becoming the third youngest player to debut for Ajax in the Eredivisie at the age of 16 years and 335 days, behind Ryan Gravenberch and Clarence Seedorf. Hato’s rise was extraordinarily quick but he’s took everything thrown at him into his stride.
