Eliesse Ben Seghir was born 16th February 2005 in Saint-Tropez, France. Ben Seghir is also eligible for Morocco as his parents are of Moroccan decent. Eliesse is the younger brother of professional footballer Salim Ben Seghir. Eliesse Ben Seghir began his journey at the tender age of 5 when he signed for local team SC Cogolinois in 2005 and staying until 2016. He then joined Fréjus Saint-Raphaël for two years before heading back to SC Cogolinois in 2018. It wasn't ill 2020 is when Ben Seghir joined a professional club, AS Monaco and what a brilliant choice it's been. He signed his first professional contract with Monaco on 5 August 2022, and made his senior and professional debut with the club as a late substitute in a 4–1 UEFA Europa League win.
On 28 December 2022, Ben Seghir made his Ligue 1 debut for Monaco as a half-time substitute in a match against Auxerre. He scored two goals, both of which put Monaco in the lead, to help his team come out victorious by a score of 3–2. Ben Seghir has went on to score 3 goals in 5 league starts.

Ben Seghir is an attacking midfielder who can operate along the front like just behind the striker. He stands at 5,8 foot and has quite a delicate slim frame. He manipulates defenders into committing themselves into a challenge but have the audacity to embarrass them by easily riding the challenge. Despite his height and slime build, Ben Seghir is deceivingly powerful and strong. He's capable of going strength-for-strength with whilst reaming his remarkable balance and low-centre of gravity. To the naked eye it may not seem is because of how elegant he is but Ben Seghir possesses terrifying pace, he's all-actioned, energetic type player. His exceptional foot-work and dazzling feet allows his to be able to play in the tightest areas, confident in his own abilities, Ben Seghir never shy's away. Constantly looking to get on the ball and cause havoc, creating moments out of nothing. He does this by constantly being alert, checking his surrounds and searching for openings to exploit. The amount of progressive ball-carries Ben Seghir attempts is spectacular, he dribbles with the ball like his a Futsal player which makes his extremely unpredictable. His positivity is noticeable in his dribbles, constantly looking to penetrate up field and begin attacking phases. You'll often see Ben Seghir drop a little deeper to gain possession before he sets himself on one of his majestic dribbles. He really thrives once he enters the final third, he has the capabilities to unlock defences with an eye of the needle pass.
He has an exquisite creative mentality. Ben Seghir shows signs of being one step ahead of the others, spotting runs before they even begin which gives him the advantage when playing through balls. What's absolutely mind-blowing is the way he orchestrates attacks, he attracts opponents towards him, sometimes 2,3 or 4 opponents will circulate around him which creates more open spaces for his teammates to exploit. It really helps his teammates get into more advantageous and dangerous positions. Once in those damaging positions, Ben Seghir has the technique, ability, and confidence to execute killer passes and set up goals-scoring opportunities for his teammates. Alternatively, his link-up play is superb, he has the ability to one-two combinations with his teammates even at top speed. He shows great professionalism and maturity on the correct moments when to dribble and when to pass, his decision making is outstanding at all times. Ben Seghir is an artist in attacking phases but capable of striking from long range and being composed from shorter distances. Due to his high level of awareness, he's able to find space in the penalty area but also has the ability to adapt in tight areas. Ben Seghir has a high level of off-ball movements, constantly looking to exploit spaces and checking his runs to confuse defenders.
