Name: Amad Diallo
Club: Manchester United
Amad Diallo was born 11th July 2002 in Abidjan, Ivory Coast. Diallo move to Italy as a child with his parents and that’s where he found his love for football. He joined his first team Boca Barco in 2014 and that’s where he made a name for himself. Diallo impressed at a Winter, Christmas tournament finishing the tournament's top goal-scorer as the youngest on the field. Diallo impressed so much, Atalanta wasted no time and he joined their youth setup in 2015 beating AS Roma, Milan and
Inter to his signature. Diallo was a constant thorn to opponents and helped Atalanta youth team win two Campionato Primavera 1 titles. His sizzling performances weren’t going unnoticed and in 2019 Diallo was handed his senior debut with Atalanta, scoring on his debut making him the first player born in 2002 to score in Serie A. Diallo burst on the scene like no other, only 4 senior cameos needed before European giants Manchester United splashed £20 million plus add-ons in January 2021 for the silky 18-year-old at the time. After another 3 cameo appearances for MUFC, Diallo was loaned out to Rangers in 2022 scoring 3 goals in 10 appearances before moving on loan to Sunderland in the same year, where he remains at time of writing. It seems he’s not adapted to English lifestyle as he’s been hitting the spotlight scoring 12 goals, providing 3 assists in 36 games. Diallo is Muslim. He received his Italian passport in December 2020 but Diallo made his senior international debut for the Ivory Coast at the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. With Mason Greenwood unlikely to play for United.
Again, could the Ivorian be the answer?
